Pre-registration is non-binding and reservation-style. Charter membership formalizes once HMIC obtains its Certificate of Authority and the founding council ratifies the bylaws.
Pre-register charter interestEach entry above represents a colony that has formally indicated to the HMIC founding council that it intends to participate in charter membership, along with its declared tier intent (founder, underwriting participant, capital contributor, or policyholder) and a self-declared pledge amount. Display on this roster is opt-in; colonies that pre-register privately are not surfaced here.
Pre-registrations are not legally binding capital subscriptions. Final charter formalisation requires successful application for and grant of a Manitoba Insurance Act Certificate of Authority, a quorum vote of pre-registered colonies, and execution of subscription agreements at par value. The charter-ready badge indicates the colony has completed the supplemental due-diligence questionnaire (audited statements, board resolution to participate, signatory authorisation).
